The Great Pickled Caesar

I’m not the first or last person who will make a Caesar with pickle brine but I would be remiss not to mention it. This drink has been hailed as the great Canadian Caesar invented in Calgary, my home town, and I love it.

Here’s the recipe:

1 oz vodka
2 dashes Tabasco Sauce
4 tsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp pickle brine
6 oz Clamato juice
2 or 3 jalepeno rings (add to the bottom of the glass to spice things up)
salt and pepper to taste

Garnish with a pickle – of course! I also added a celery stick.

In addition to using pickle brine in the glass, I made ice cubes out of the pickle juice and used them instead of regular ice cubes. Yum.

I would love to hear from you. Let me know if you try the recipe and how you liked it.
